Naver Webtoon artist Jjakkka

In a touching display of generosity, celebrated Naver Webtoon artist Jjakkka has made headlines with a substantial donation of ₩50 million ($37,500) to the Children and Future Foundation. The creator behind the hit series "University Diary" and "Independence Diary" announced the contribution on February 10, marking the successful conclusion of "Parenting Diary" Season 1.

"This donation represents my way of giving back to the community that has supported my work," Jjakkka shared with emotion. "Knowing these funds will help children access vital medical care makes this moment even more meaningful." The donation will directly support the Foundation's Children's Medical Support program, providing critical healthcare assistance to youngsters from underprivileged backgrounds.

The timing of this charitable act coincides with the January 29 finale of "Parenting Diary" Season 1, which has captured readers' hearts with its authentic portrayal of family life. Fans can breathe easy knowing their favorite webtoon will return after a brief creative break.

This isn't the first time Jjakkka has demonstrated philanthropic leadership. In 2023, the artist contributed ₩12 million worth of diapers to support single-parent families through the same foundation. Impressed by the organization's transparent operations and genuine commitment to social welfare, Jjakkka chose to deepen this charitable partnership.

The Children and Future Foundation stands as a beacon of hope in South Korea's social welfare landscape. Working alongside major domestic and international corporations, the foundation implements targeted programs supporting youth development. Their comprehensive approach encompasses education, mentorship, scholarships, and infrastructure improvements, helping shape tomorrow's leaders.

For fans eager to follow Jjakkka's work and charitable initiatives, the artist's popular series can be found on Naver Webtoon, where "Parenting Diary" Season 2 is highly anticipated.
